The Crossover Retreat 2017
''for the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed over'' - Joshua 4:23 NKJV
The Crossover Youth Retreat is designed to allow middle and high school students to build intentional relationships with God and each other. Our Crossover theme symbolizes the call on our lives to transition from one level to the next and we want to cross over from negative to positive, and from sin to salvation. The leaders and students get to live out our mission of becoming Unashamed disciples of Christ, empowered to change the world.
The Crossover Retreat will take place at Refreshing Mountain Camp in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Students will get away from their familiar environment, engage in team building activities, and share with their Life Groups several times a day. They will participate in authentic praise and worship and witness a retreat drama that speaks to the issues in their lives. It is our prayer that as seeds are planted, they will have an encounter with God that inspires transformation in each of their lives.
We know that change doesn’t occur overnight, however it's been proven that retreats provide 3-6 months’ worth of relationship capital. This capital allows our leaders to continue to mentor and guide their students when they return to the ministries here at First Baptist Church of Glenarden.
So, send your child to our Retreat and rest in God’s assurance that he/she will be in good hands. If you have any questions, reach out to me personally. I’d love to hear from you.
